Chinese Laundry
Our Private Event Space

Your event deserves better than a beige banquet hall. So why not bring the party to to your favourite restaurant? Chinese Laundry is your own private Satay Brothers clubhouse.
We built this spot for the events that matter: the milestone birthdays, the all-night anniversaries, the team builds that aren’t a drag. Looking for a regular VENUE for your mahjong club? We do that too.
The rules are simple. You bring the people. We’ll flood the space with the food and cocktails you’re already obsessed with.
Your move, grasshopper.

We Already Know What You’re Gonna Ask… (FAQ)

Food & Drink (Menus & Dietary)

What dining formats do you offer for groups?

We keep things social with custom sharing menus. It is the best way to eat, ensuring everybody in your crew gets a taste of everything.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies?

For sure. We can work around most food allergies and dietary needs. Just give us a heads up at booking so the kitchen is prepped and ready.

Can we bring our own alcohol (BYOB)?

We are a fully licensed joint, meaning outside booze is a no-go. Leave the bottles at home and let our bartenders do what they do best.

    Audio-Visual, Music & Entertainment

Do you have audio-visual equipment available?

We have a projector, a screen, and a microphone on standby for your presentations or impromptu roasts.

Can we play our own music?

The playlist is all yours, with just two caveats. Skip the house or electro tracks, and keep the volume at a level that respects the neighbors.

Is there space for a DJ or live music?

There is plenty of room to set up a DJ booth.

Is there a dance floor or space to dance?

    Oh, absolutely.

    Do you allow Karaoke?

Obviously yes. We fully encourage it.

    Budget, Pricing & Payment

Is there a room rental or privatization fee?

Zero room fees here. If you want the whole place to yourself, we just work off a minimum spend.

What are the estimated costs per person?

The food formula sits at $55 per head before tax and tip. Drink costs will depend entirely on how thirsty your guests are.

How does billing work for large groups?

One master bill is always preferred. We can handle separate tabs if it is absolutely necessary, but keeping it unified makes the night flow much smoother.

What is your cancellation and deposit policy?

We operate on trust, so we skip the deposits. All we ask in return is that you respect our time and avoid last minute cancellations.

    Space, Logistics & Timing

What are your opening hours? Can we extend the night?

The kitchen wraps up at 23:00. After the food stops, we can definitely keep the bar open late so the party does not have to end.

What is the capacity of your private room?

We can comfortably host up to 65 guests.

Are we allowed to bring our own decorations?

Yes, feel free to deck the place out and make it your own.

Is the space fully private or semi-private?

We offer both options depending on the size of your group.

Can we see the venue before booking?

Of course. Come on down, grab a drink, and take a look around.
